Doing a little better than before. I've ran every day this week so far and lifted weights/did calisthenics every other day. I've mostly
stuck to my [low-carb] diet. If I can keep this up for a couple weeks I can wear my one pair of jeans that doesn't have holes in the crotch and not feel like my intestines are going to explode.
How are you guys doin'?

I went running yesterday and went twice as far as usual, and am not in hideous pain now. Life is good. Current Mood: accomplished

Rumours of my death . . .
. . . are strictly wishful thinking on the part of my co-workers.
I am still alive. I think the bronchitis was prompted by my deciding to run in the rain, because I'm an idiot, so I won't be doing that again (of course, getting caught in the wind and rain for two hours a couple days later only aggravated it, but that is not my fault). My sinuses and lungs have mostly cleared out now, so I'll take tonight to get back to my strength training, and start running again tomorrow.
And hopefully the snow on the weekend was just mother nature trying to psyche me out, and we'll have no more of it. Current Mood: calm

I'm down a pound and half from this time last week. Considering I'd bloated up at least that much on Chinese food and pizza over the weekend, and was laying on the couch almost all weekend due to my back going out, I'm pretty happy with this. I may still be a fatty for ChiDope, but not quite as fat.
How is everyone else doing so far?

Okay, ChiDope Fatties. I'm about to do half of a Pilates tape and then go bowling. I will not drink beer, but only Diet Coke. I will snack on air and good health.
And then my arms will fall off. But I'll be thinner with no arms, so it's cool. Current Mood: Pilates! Arrr!

I am fattie. I weigh 145 pounds, and not nearly enough of it is muscle.
But today, I went jogging! I started Couch to 5K! In the rain! And managed to resist the urges to cuy another pack of smokes, and to stop at McDonald's!
If I can wake up early enough tomorrow to do my strength exercises, then I think I'll have a routine. Current Mood: accomplished
I'm in, bitches. I have no idea how much I even weigh, as I have not stepped on a scale in probably about a year. All I know is that when I buy clothes I fall somewhere in the range of 12-16, depending on style, designer, and how fat and bloated my ass is on that particular day.
I went on a general well-being plan something like two years ago, altering my diet to include whole-wheat bread, brown rice, and all manner of veggies and flesh. I dropped about a dress size and a half, and managed to fit into some clothes that were once lost causes. I've let a lot of that fall by the wayside as I was trying to finish up my dissertation, but now that that's over I'm going to make a concerted effort to get back to being as disciplined as before.
I'm not, however, willing to cut my tits off.
I'm a ChiDope Fat Ass
I dropped about 60 lbs a few years ago on Atkins, and maintained the loss for a couple of years, but I regained almost 20 lbs (ugh) over the last couple years. No way in hell I can lose that much safely before ChiDope, but it sure would be nice to go down one pants size by then. My ultimate goal is to be able to wear the leather skirt I wore at ChiDope 2002 again, and to look good in it.
As some of you may know, I've been struggling with Weight Watchers on and off for quite some time now. I'm back up to the weight I was when I decided I needed to lose weight 2 1/2 years ago - 160 lb (I'm 5'3). I'm not gonna say I'm going to be perfect and eat right and exercise every day because I KNOW that won't happen - not until exams are over at least. But I want to be down to a solid 155 lb before Chidope (note: this goal weight may vary once I weight myself "officially", ie in the morning before I eat breakfast. I keep forgetting).
My name is Vince, and I'm a fatty.
My intention is to run/cycle at least 6 days a week, as well as some general weightlifting and calisthenics. I'm also on the low-carb trendy wagon, which has worked for me (for some reason it stops working when you eat 37 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in a week).
So does this mean we get to hork down tons of fattening food in Chicago? Because if not, what's the point? Current Mood: Flabmaster D

Hello everyone. I am a fatty who plans on going to ChiDope. I've been doing Pilates almost every night for a couple weeks now, and I see my posure, my balance, and my overall well-being improving, but I don't get the sense that I'm actually working out. Pilates kicks my ass, but not in the traditional, American sense of ass-kicking.
Do any of you do Tae Bo? What of it? I'm an incredibly cheap bastard and won't shell out $14 for something that doesn't get a big endorsement from the likes of you.
Shout it out loud.
Maybe not so proud. Whatever. Current Mood: lardass logan
